The Guardian class. This class is unique in it’s own way, because to train it, you will have to complete different tasks, and many of them must be completed in the armor itself, before it is fully trained. So I wish you luck in all of the quests, especially the Final Skill: The Guardian Dragon!
I’m going to make this guide a bit differently. Instead of going through all of the skills, I’m going to go through the skills in order of when you get them, and explain the fastest/best way to complete the tasks.
How to get the abilities, and what they do
First Skill: Guardian Blast – Guardian Blast of Fire (Mana: 5, Cooldown: 4, Duration: N/A)
2 hits of 75% fire damage.
How to get: Speak to Trainer Eckhard, click train, then talk to Chiku, the person that can save your items when you login. You don’t even have to do anything, just read the scroll, then return to Eckhard.
Second Skill: Multi Attack – Hits all enemies with Energy waves (Mana: 10, Cooldown: 2 Duration: N/A)
This hits all enemies with full (energy) damage.
How to get: Give Eckhard 10 defenders medals. If you don’t have enough, then you’ll have to wait for the next war to start.
Third Skill: Guardian Shock: 30% chance immobility for 10 rounds (Mana: 20, Cooldown: 9, Duration: N/A)
You heard it right. You can stun your enemy for 10 whopping turns. But there’s only a 30% chance!
How to get: Click the “Quest” button when you talk to Eckhard about training, and complete the crittercave quest. If you use guests, I’d recommend making your best one as Guest B, as Aria will join your party as friend A.
Fourth Skill: Guardian Shield: 80% block for 2 turns (Mana: 20, Cooldown: 9, Duration: 2)
This is the worst shield because the cooldown is 9 TURNS! Also, you need to be holding the Guardian Blade to use this (for instructions on how to get the guardian blade, see below).
How to get: Head over to Willowshire in the armor you feel most comfortable using. I’d recommend using Necromancer. The blade is very expensive and can go up to… a lot of gold. (A level 20 version is 8,000). So go to Willowshire through the portal, and click “To The Tower!” After you get a keygem, leave the quest, heal, and go back in to get another keygem. Since the keygems go in your Temp inventory, you can get a keygem, go to Falconreach to heal, go back in, and continue, as long as you don’t log out. So use Final, Turn, and Dominate to go through and get all of the keygems. Then, buy the Guardian blade. If you don’t think you need it, buy the worst one in the shop. But if you think it is good and you might use it regularly, then get the one best for your level. Just make sure you buy one of them.
Fifth Skill: Light Strike: 120% Light Dmg (Mana: 10, Cooldown: 0, Duration: N/A)
120% Light damage. Nothing more, nothing less.
How to get: Defeat Krakhim with the skills you have of the Guardian armor.
Sixth Skill: Mana Strike – Attack MP (Mana: 10, Cooldown: 0, Duration: N/A)
Attacks MP. This does full damage, and, just like all mana-attackers, this is generally useless unless you’re in PvP.
How to get: Get 10 Scrap Metal from Dr. Voltabolt’s Challenge.
Seventh Skill: Keen Edge: +5 crit for 10 turns (Mana: 10, Cooldown: 4, Duration: 10)
It’s not really that good. After all, it only gives you +5 crit. Also, it isn’t an attack.
How to get: You’ll need 10 Pouches of Sparkling Sand (PoSS). So go to Oaklore, move to the left, and click “Explore Ruins!” Use Final on all of the Vurr’men (with Necromancer). You wont also get the PoSS as a reward, so keep trying until you get all ten!
Eighth Skill: Guardian Heroes – Summon the ghosts of fallen guardians (Mana: 10, Cooldown: 4, Duration: N/A)
This skill will convert your damage to Darkness, and also does 150% damage.
How to get: For this skill, you’ll need 10 pieces of Ahzite Ore. So head over to the Weapons Shop in Falconreach, and quest for Ahzite ore. Do the quest 10 times, and go back to Trainer Eckhart to earn your new skill. I’d recommend using Necromancer (as usual) then use Final on everyone.
Ninth Skill: Cirpple: 100% Damage over 3 turns (Mana: 5, Cooldown: 3, Duration: 3)
This gives your opponent DOT
How to get: Click the button for A visit to Cysero, and he’ll say how he can make the armor shiny again. Go through the dialog, and the quest is over! That’s right, no monsters, or anything. Just *pop* and you’re done.
Tenth Skill: Red Shift – Cooldowns reduced by 3 (Mana: 50, Cooldown: 14, Duration: N/A)
-3 Cooldowns! Basically, all abilities that are in a cooldown will go down by 3 turns. Unlike the Ranger ability, Cooldown Shot, this is not an attack.
How to get: Fo this one, you’ll need 10 bags of Moonglow. So head over to Amityvale, and go “Farm the Pumpkin Patch (pun intended).” (This quote is from the DF Encyclopedia article). Anyways, go to the pumpkin patch, and do the quest 10 times, depending on how much moonglow you have currently (You probably wont have any, anyways). When you have all 10, head back to Trainer Eckhart and get your new skill. (I have an Amityvale guide here)
Eleventh Skill: Evade: -30 hit for enemy (Mana: 10, Cooldown: 4, Duration: 5)
With a cry of, “Hit me if you can!,” your opponent will lose 30 to hit. No, this is not an attack.
How to get: This time, you’ll need 3 Aeries Battlesphere Trophies. So head over to Aries Battlesphere and battle 15 people. That should give you 3 trophies, so go back to Eckhart to recieve your new skill.
Twelfth Skill: Weaken – Enemy does 10% dmg. for 10 turns (Mana: 10, Cooldown: 9, Duration: 10)
For the intial attack, you will do 10% damage, and then your opponent will do 10% damage for 10 more turns. Your character only does his own 10% damage once, which is the initial attack.
How to get: Go to the 100 Room Dungeon and kill the boss. Then, get the wings of 100 flames. However, DO NOT go to Cysero to upgrade it to an equipable cape. Return it to Eckhart the way it came, and enjoy your newly found skill.
Thirteenth Skill: Guardian Rage: 14 hits, random element (Mana: 10, Cooldown: 2, Duration: N/A)
14 hits of 10% damage. Each hit is a random element.
How to get: You have to kill Dragonmaster Frostscythe! He isn’t much of a threat; just use a fire weapon and he should be good as dead.
Fourteenth Skill: Guardian Dragon – Guardian Dragon Attack (Mana: 5, Cooldown: 14, Duration: N/A)
4 hits of 50% damage each. This uses your own weapon’s element. Here is a list of things that the dragon says (same from AQ, credit taken from PaperClip of DOOM, on Battleon Forums):
How to get: You must defeat the Guardian Dragon. If you are a non-DA, your dragon will be ready and fully trained for the battle. If you are a DA, but your dragon is not fully trained, all the skills will be available. Currently, I have no guide for it. However, use the Burn-MegaBurn combo a lot, and when you’re running low on health/mana, use the Shield>Mana>Health combo, then do Burn-Megaburn. When you do not have enough mana to cast Shield, the Dragon should be at low health, which means use Breath a lot. Currently, there is no detailed guide, although if you follow the guidelines I have posted, you should beat him on your 3-7th try.

Very nice. Do you think I could use this eventually at United Lore to help with a Guardian Analysis?
United Lore! I’ve seen that blog, United Lore.
I will allow you to put some of this information in your blog, as long as you give me proper credit, and a link to the original post.

Unfortunately, since all of the guardian quests can only be played once, there is no guide. For general strategies for using your dragon, please refer to the Dragon Operations Manual.
