The Fire War has one of the most exciting storyline in all of Dragonfable. In this, you’ll have to fight off fire monsters and try to obtain the Fire Orb to keep it from moving into the wrong hands. While the quests may be easy for higher levels, the storyline itself is great.

A Plea for Help
- You’ll start off with a conversation with Konnan, explaining how his town is being attacked by a fire dragon. He will then start crying and now you really know that he needs your help. Galanoth and his blood brother, Demento, will explain to you a bit of Akriloth, the Fire Dragon’s history. Then the quest will start.
- If you want to be cheap and skip through the entire quest, move backwards at the beginning of the quest, away from the monsters. Say that you would like to leave, press “Run For Your Life!” and then you will get to the end cutscene
. But you will miss important plot info, so I don’t recommend doing that. - The beginning should be fairly easy. The fire monsters are a piece of cake, so take them down and get to the end of the frame. In the second frame, you can skip the first monster by moving below it. You can also skip the Lavagoblin in the third frame.
- After the third frame, Akriloth will give you a heads-up on his world domination plan, and then you’ll be prompted to summon your dragon.
- Akriloth will then kill you (This is supposed to happen!)
- Demento will tell you that he will search for a fire weapon, while Konnan gets pissed off at you and looks for revenge. And guess who wants to help him?
North
- This quest starts with a bunch of monsters in one frame. You should take them down with ease. If you are running low on health, click on the burning object in the corner for a one-time heal.
- There is no particular order for killing the monsters in the frame. It is always okay to use a health potion in between battles, but first use the burning object. You cannot progress to the next part of the quest until you defeat all of the monsters.
- The next frame is pretty much the same thing, but with less monsters. You can skip some monsters in this frame, so if you don’t need the extra exp, move ahead.
- In the next frame, there is a huge gap in which you can skip a lot of monsters. You’ll have to kill at least one monster to move forward. Go for the Killy Willy and then move on.
- Again, you can skip more monsters and go straight for another Killy Willy. Whether you skip them or not, it’s your choice. Your destination lies ahead, in one more frame.
- Kill a Tusker, and then you’re done. Whew! The end cutscene is very interesting, so read through it.
The Guardian
- Stick with your fire weapon, since there will be more ice monsters ahead.
- Two snowballs should be no match for your power. Wipe them out and move on.
- In the next frame, it is faster to move right rather than up into the sub-path. After you kill those monsters, move up into the next frame.
- While the numbers here may seem overwhelming, you don’t necessarily have to fight all of them. If you followed the path I mentioned before, you only have two kill two of them by skimming along the right edge.
- Move up, and you’ll find the Ice Guardian, Izotz. You’ll challenge him to a duel for the Icy Sythe. Here are some of my usual boss tips (for Necromancer):
- Always start off with Final, then Summon. That combo is a good combo to lower his health fast.
- If you’re low on health, use Turn and hope that he’ll do multi-attacks.
- Seed is great on bosses with high amounts of health. Use it whenever you see fit.
- Mend is very underrated. It does a decent amount of DOT, and heals you, too. I always recommend using this on bosses. It is not as effective against normal monsters though, since they die easily.
- Izotz will get pissed off at you for killing him. He will shatter the Icy Sythe upon defeat, but that doesn’t mean your feat was worthless. Yulgar might be able to fix it.
- You’ll see another cutscene. This one is Konnan’s training. After, you’ll be done and ready to take down Akriloth.
The Weapon
- Yulgar will tell you how he can fix the sword with magical duct tape (just kidding!) and the scythe will be even more powerful than before.
- Konnan will take his final test: the mass clicking test, a test all AQ players must master to get high levels. Play as Konnan and spam your clicks to eliminate all snowballs being thrown at you. It actually gets a bit hard near the end, but I’m sure you can click fast enough… right? And guess what Konnan has become… (and it’s all your fault too, because if you had failed the clicking test, he would have got pwnd by the snowballs
)
East
- This is probably one of the hardest quests you will ever face in DragonFable. It is so hard, I can’t even give a guide for it. All I can say is good luck.
Akriloth
- This is it! Set your dragon’s element to Ice (do NOT choose water), and take out any party members (your pet dragon does not count). Party members add to Akriloth’s strength, so fight solo.
- Akriloth has insane health, but don’t let that discourage you. If your toddler dragon dies, just re-summon him
- Akriloth has a “Warmth” effect that heals him. However, his 250% weakness to health should allow you to get some damage anyways.
- Seed is so important here. Use it whenever possible. Summon is also a good idea.
- If he does a super-breath attack, follow it up with a Turn.
- If you’re low on health, use a health potion of a turn.
- You’ll see that his health will go down quickly. Then he will die. Whew!
Packing Up
- This quest will start with an epic cutscene. I wont spoil it for you, but if you don’t watch it, you’re missing a huge part of the game.
- The monsters shouldn’t be hard to kill. Ue Final on all of them and you should be fine. The quest gets hard when you get to the dragons, where Galanoth truly shines. Use Kick on them for some extra damage.
- Final+Summon is generally a good starting combo against the dragons, just like bosses. If the dragon uses the mega breath, you’re in danger, and that means Turn and/or Health Potion.
- There is no boss. At the end, Galanoth will find out what happened to Demento.
Ashenvale
- This quest is a bit confusing. You don’t have to kill very many monsters for it, though. The objective is to walk into each house and clear it of monsters. Since there are a lot of paths to choose from, I’ll post a map of the quest so you know where the houses are:

- The red squares represent frames with houses, S and E mean Start and End, and the green line means you can move between those frames. I know the map is sloppy, but I’m sure it can get the job done, right?
- Before you can beat the quest, you must “clear” all of the houses. So you have to go into the house, kill the monster, move up to the people in the house, and then when it says “Quick, lets get out of here!,” you can exit the house and move to another one.
- The magic beer at the beginning is a one-time full heal. If you click on it, it will immediately heal you without warning, so don’t click on it unless you need to!
Eastern Hills
- The first thing you’ll notice about this quest is that you got some new party members. While they are random each time, they normally have high-levels. You can even see their character ID and all of their info if you click on their name.
- The monsters that you fight will seem very powerful, but you have powerful allies. They will do a lot of damage, and should make this quest very easy.
- Always use Final against the monster (with ALL of your party members) to start off, and then use whatever abilities you see fit. Since the classes of those people are random, it’s hard for me to give good advice. If you’re not sure about an ability, I probably have a guide for that class (search the blog).
- As you progress through the quest, you may notice your party members disappearing. This is part of the quest, and is supposed to happen.
Battleon Burns
- If you want some good party members, go to the war and invite the people, then press Quest! That should make things easy for you. Remember to click on each Ice Crystal to get it.
- If you used the party member trick above (or even if your didn’t), the quest should be pretty easy. Go all out power by using Final a lot.
- The boss for this quest is Jorhath, who is skeptical of Drakonnan’s conquest. So of course, you have to kill him.
- He isn’t very good, but one of his attacks does a boatload of damage. After he does it, use Turn to regain your health (or a potion).
- Another flaw is that he has no resistance to Ice, making him vulnerable to Dominate, so it might be a good idea to do that as well.
- The real boss (in the War) is General Varax (Party members will add to his strength!). He is pretty good, but he has some weaknesses. When you select your weapons, remember to use s WATER weapon, not Ice, as he has no weakness to ice.
- Another weakness is that he has little resistance to Fire, his own element. That makes him vulnerable to Dominate.
- If you’re low on health, you might want to use Turn or drink a health potion.
Attack on Drakonnan!
- With the last of Drakonnan’s forces defeated, it’s time go on the offensive. You’ll start by blindly walking into a cave.
- The glowing rock is a one-time full heal. Do NOT click on it unless you are on very low health.
- The first monsters you’ll encounter are two Fire Mantixes. Wipe them out to progress furher into the cave.
- You’ll enter a large room with red statues in them. When you fight the statues (they’re monsters), you’ll notice that you’re actually fighting your fellow heroes!
- The place is symmetrical, so it doesn’t matter which was you go.
- When you fight the heroes, you should remember that it is liking fighting in a PvP battle; they can use health potions and have their own special abilities. They can also put you to sleep, so stun them before they stun you!
- You might be able to skip some battles while doing this quest. try to go sharp around each corner and you might get lucky.
- If you’re going to use potions, try to use them in-between battles instead of in-battle. They take up a valuable turn that you could use. For instance, a stun is a good way to replace a health potion. Use your abilities wisely!
- Near the end of the quest, you might need a full heal. Luckily for you, there is one at the beginning of the quest (remember?). However, there is another one if you are able to move a bit further.
- Once you beat the two guards at the end of the large room (frame 2), the room after that is a bit buggy. You can sort of go around the statue, and into the room on the right, which has another magic rock (or go upwards, straight to the boss). If you want it, you don’t have to battle the monsters in there. Just click on the rock, and then run back.
- The boss is up one frame. Unfortunately, you’ll have to kill two more heroes to progress.
- The boss is the Shadowfire Knight. While he is a Fire monster, his true weakness is Light damage, Equip the light weapon of your choice, and prepare to fight!
- He should be extremely easy to kill. Once he’s dead, watch the interesting cutscene and then… whew! You’re done.
Help?
- You’ll get to play as Xan in this quest. Since the map is randomized, it might be a bit hard for me to help here. Luckily, Xan is an insane pyromancer, and he should be able to kill everyone. You need to be a certain level to get the abilities, I’m not entirely sure of the criteria for this, though.
Final Battle
- Well, it’s time for the final battle. During the first cutscene at the beginning, click on Cysero’s head while he says, “I have this sponge” for the first Easter egg.
- The next Easter egg comes later in the quest. Finish watching the cutscene, and then move right at the start of the quest. After you kill the Fire Eater, the Lava Glob in the next frame can be skipped; move on to the Magman.
- The next frame has two passageways guarded by two monsters. Since you need the Ice Katana, go for the path on the left. (Rescuing the prisoners is completely optional, if you want to, you can also take the right path.
- The Ice Katana looks like it’s being guarded by two Fire Mantixes, but you only have o kill one to get the Katana. Unfortunately, it shows up in your temp inventory, not your main.
- Back in the main room, go left this time and then go up. In that frame, take the left passageway, and keep moving left until you find the Fire Orb. However, you need two Fire Orbs to get to the Drakonnan’s Lair (this reminds me of Francis’s lair in SPM, where you need two keys and there are two ways to go).
- After you get the Orb, go back two frames and then keep going up until you get to the next Fire Orb.
- Once you have both fire Orbs, go back to the main room and then go up into his lair.
- In this cutscene, when Zorbak says “How do I look?”, click on Artix’s head for another Easter Egg.
- When the cutscene is done, you get to face Drakonnan. He wasn’t much of a threat to me, but I’ve heard that he might have been hard to some other people. During the battle, he will talk, and putting him to sleep will only delay his speech until the immobility is done; it will not stop him.
- Unlike most bosses, it isn’t always a good idea to go all-out power on him. He has a shield that gives him +50 block, so when he does that, activate a move that doesn’t have an attack, like Seed. Check his status if you want to see if he’s using the shield or not.
- The next battle is a titan fight. You don’t jhave to do it, clicking “Let a DragonLord Handle It!” will automatically kill him, and you’ll see what happens afterward. And then you’re done.

In Battleon Burns, what about the boss (general varax). How to kill him ???
Use Necromancer, and go all-out power on him; try not to get defensive.
Do it solo and either use Evolved Chicken Cow Armor or Necromancer. If you have an ice pet, equip, or use your baby dragon. Ice weapons are best.
just try to use stun and hope for the best
what about those without any DA? we can’t use dominate or turn
Dominate isn’t a requirement, it is just really good.
As for Turn, there are always health potions!
it is still quite hard to defeat him
O ya… you got forgot to add that guest makes general Varax stronger… And using seed is a good idea…
Thanks! I’ll add it in now.
hey how come when i do a plea for help it wont let me fight the dragon….. it just takes me back to the inn(shop)
So when you click the button, nothing happens?
Make sure you did the other quests in the chain that come before it. You can’t just plow through the quests doing whichever one you want.
dude i know that yopu can skip the titan drakonnan fight in the fire war but you need to complete it in order to take your dragon primal, so like how do you kill him if your only lvl 24???!!!!!!!
–
(Double-post correction)
won’t anybody tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(yes i know it’s only been like 2 mins since i commented but please!!! I NEED TO KNOW!!!!!)
i wana to know to!! lvl 23, dragon element = darkness.
and, can u completely leave the quest to change dragon element type to ice without having to do the WHOLE quest over again?
Unfortunately, the quest must be completed fully with the Titan fight in order to gain access to Primal Dragons.
Your Dragon’s element can not be changed when a quest is in progress. You will have to exit the quest, go to Lady Celestia, change your Dragon’s element from there, and then re-enter the quest from the beginning if you want to change your Dragon’s element. It’s painful, but, as in all Titan fights, it’s crucial to make sure your Dragon’s element is the same as your enemy’s weakness.
Do you have a DA? Because Da users can change their dragons elements anytime they want 2
um… guys i found a way to kill Akilroth with Dragonslayer
since the armour name says it, this armour does insane damage on akilroth (each hit should be an average of 200)
For Non DA,
Strike, Double, Triple, Poison(opt), attack and repeat (pots are also priority)
For DA,
Strike, Double, Triple, poison, attack and blood(if you are low on health
by all means do not call for your pet or do omgbbq
this is way more effective
i still thank sinani for guiding us through the fight between akilroth as i wouldn’t have done it without the guide.
By the way, when defeating Akriloth, he DOES get stronger when you add guests, but personally I think doing it with guests makes it easier… use Necromancer armor here!
how do you find the quests? who do you talk to?
I think it’s in Lim’s Weapon Shop in Falconreach.
Akriloth wasn’t that hard for me (perhaps because of that ice weapon thingy). What really is hard is General Varax. I can never beat him. I’m a non-DA so all of the guides are useless. I’m level 16 and rougue. Got any tips guys? Please?
after i beat the horse dude in battleon burns for the last ice crystal, i dont get that last big crystal and i return back and i cant continue to the next quest? do i have to get 100% on the fire war bar? im at 74% or it doesnt matter? i read that i needed to fill up the bar
Yeah, you need to fill up the bar, and then you get the boss battle. After that, you can continue.
you dont ned to fil the bar up just w8 for mogloween to finish because you cant hav to war at the sme time.
P.S im realy bad at spelling sorry!
How To Get Over Battleon Burns I Defeated So Many Waves But Nothing Happens.
Go to the Boss Fight.
Is it possible to go back to the fire war at this time?
Just wondering because i missed out first time.
finaly thx i finaly got past north
I DON’T KNOW HOW TO GET 25% IN BATTLEON BURNS. I’VE DONE LIKE 20 WAVES AND ITS STILL 3%!! HELP?
OK THE FIRST STEP IS TO COOL OFF AND TURN OFF CAPS LOCK. I KNOW IT’S DIFFICULT, BUT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PRESS THE “CAPS LOCK” KEY ON YOUR KEYBOARD.
Does the boss battle button work?
I’m on the “BattleOn Burns” one, except even though I keep battling and battling the wave % never gets past 4%. Most times it’s at 0% when I go to battle and try again. I’ve fought a whole bunch of waves but I can’t get it so that I can complete that quest in the chain.
I have a DA, so I’m not really sure what’s going wrong. And I don’t have a ‘boss battle button’ either, not unless it’s mislabelled ‘quest!’
grate tips but make
make them DIY
Akriloth mad easy with evolved chicken cow armor xD
You DO NOT get fire orb after, If you listen to the prolouge, Xan uses it to turn Arkiloth into an undead fire orb, To reobtain the orb defeat Lava Titan Xan
in ashenvale in the house by the 4 way crossroads (1st square to the right from start position) there is a second 1 time full heal on the shelf
also there is one 3 directly to the right in the house on the shelf
